The Small Grants Program (SGP) is an original initiative, conducted by the JEMB Secretariat, to increase dissemination of civic education and election information through events and gatherings organized by Afghan civil society and community groups. By providing grants from $50 to $1000 for such events, the SGP simultaneously strengthens Afghan civil society and increases public outreach to the Afghans communities on the upcoming Wolesi Jirga and Provincial Council elections to be held on 18 September 2005.

All Afghan civil society organizations and community groups are encouraged to apply by submitting concise and descriptive project proposals. For more information about this program and the application process, please contact:
